“In February 2016, the White Noise Festival will take place at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal in association with South Lakeland District Council
The festival is exclusively for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 and will feature local arts, up and coming musicians, good food and the chance for teenagers to find out what politics means to them, on a local, national or even global level.
The festival will include talks from politicians from all walks of life, so festival goers can ask them the questions that matter.
A White Noise spokesman said: “Sometimes it’s all very easy to tune out from all the political ‘white noise,’ and one of the aims of the festival is to get the facts in black and white, for politics to be an easy and accessible median for young people to get increasingly involved in.
“The festival is for young people, run by young people and so we need you to join our team.’’
Anyone who is interested in any of the things the festival will be presenting, has a flair for writing, or just would like to spend time with like minded people, festival organisers are holding an open evening on Saturday, 18 July, starting at 6pm, in the Brewery Garden.
There they will be able to speak to members of the current team, give opinions, grab a bite to eat and hopefully sign-up to become a member of the group, so together everyone can make this festival the best it can be”
